Not getting the cooling you expected from your Defy refrigerator?
Learn how to adjust, optimize, and maintain your fridge for the best cooling performance.

Watch the video below to see how easy it is to get perfect results every time.

How to Get the Best Cooling from Your Defy Refrigerator

  1. Freezer Temperature: Set the freezer between -18°C and -20°C for optimal storage.

  2. Fresh Food Section: Keep the fresh food compartment between 4°C and 8°C.

  3. Initial Use: When first switching on a new fridge, don’t load groceries immediately. Keep the door closed for 2–6 hours until the correct storage temperature is reached.

  4. Air Circulation: Ensure vents are not blocked and avoid overloading items, so air can circulate freely inside the fridge.

  5. LED Alerts: If an exclamation mark appears on the display, it may indicate a temporary issue such as a power fluctuation.

  6. Ventilation: Keep the fridge at least 25 cm from the wall and allow proper airflow around it for efficient operation.

  7. Check Doors: Make sure all doors are properly closed.

  8. Resetting: If needed, reset the fridge by switching it off for 5 minutes, then plugging it back in, or wait 30–45 minutes for the temperature to return to normal.
