Just got a new Defy Front Loader Washing Machine?

Before using it for the first time, it’s important to safely remove all packaging.

Watch the video below for a simple step-by-step guide to get your machine ready for its first wash.

1. Tilt Carefully: With assistance, tilt the machine backward to remove the packaging reinforcement by pulling the ribbon. Do not attempt this alone.

    

2. Remove Transport Bolts:

   • Use a 10mm spanner to loosen all transport bolts until they turn freely.

   • Carefully remove each bolt by turning and pulling.

      

3. Install Plastic Covers:

   • Locate the plastic covers in the bag with the user manual.

   • Insert them into the holes where the transport bolts were removed to protect the panels.

      

4. Keep Bolts Safe: Store the transport bolts in a safe place. They will be needed if the machine is moved in the future.
